Overview of 30-30 Ammo

In 1895, Winchester introduced their .30 Winchester Smokeless cartridge for the company’s Model 1894 lever action rifle. The .30-30 (pronounced thirty-thirty) cartridge was America’s first small-bore sporting round that used smokeless powder.

Soon after Winchester introduced the cartridge, Marlin Firearms Company released its Model 1893 chambered in what they called the .30-30, its version of Winchester’s cartridge. It was the first time the cartridge was called by the name it would eventually be known by.

An old timer that bagged more game than any rifle of it's time. Super seeded by rifles the are loaded with a quarter stick of dynamite.

  • Buffalo Bill said:

This is the finest production ammunition I have ever ran through my .30-30 lever gun. There is no other hard hitting, deer killing, precision driven, one shot one kill round out there that can outperform this production line ammunition, even the very precise match grade ammunition I have used just to see the difference in accuracy and precision was extraordinary. In other words, this Remington ammunition left all the other loads, including hand loads, back at the factory. Other companies need to take note and reinvent their selves, because this manufacturer knows their cartridges more than the competition. BUY THIS AMMUNITION, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!! By the way, if you do regret it, it just means you are a terrible shot, believe me, these rounds hit where the barrel is aiming. PRECISION CARTRIDGES

Took a 185 lb buck down. In and out through the lungs. Ran about 40 yards and dropped. Groups were touching when sighting in.
