Our Biases

We’re an American company committed to the defense of the 2nd Amendment because it forms the foundation of what it means to be a citizen, not a slave. The content we produce is about more than just business for us.

The right to keep and bear arms is liberty in its purest form, rooted in the soul of the American experiment, the Declaration of Independence, which holds that government is instituted amongst men “endowed by their Creator with inherent and unalienable rights” and that, “whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it.”

Fifteen years later and bloodied from the American Revolutionary War, the Bill of Rights went further by detailing the means by which those same victorious people who’d consented to being governed could alter or abolish it. They weren’t about to trade one form of tyranny under King George III in Britain for another one in their newly-established republic. That’s what the 1st and 2nd Amendments, amongst others, ensured – they codified the citizens’ ability to fight back against the consolidation or misuse of state power, to ensure their new form of government served them, not the other way around.

As you can tell, we hold both of those foundational American documents in high regard – hence why our content is more than just business for us. It is why our mission is to arm you, both physically and philosophically. We’re biased towards encouraging more Americans to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights, and our published works reflect that mission.

What’s different about us is that we’re up-front about our bias. We wear our conflict of interest on our sleeve, unlike traditional publishers who are either beholden to their advertisers or to their donors. We’re not objective. Nobody is. But we’re certainly more honest and forthcoming than innocuous sounding groups like The Brady Campaign or Everytown for Gun Safety or sanctimonious publications like The New York Times.

We publish work which we encourage you to verify. We link to our sources and explain, as best we can, how we drew our conclusions. We do so because we want to shed light on data that is prone to misinformation and present it as clearly and objectively as possible, in a visually-appealing way.

An informed citizenry forms the basis for self-governance, and we hope to do our part.
