History of Bulk 22 Ammo

For more than 100 years, the .22 Long Rifle (LR) has served the needs of hunters, sport shooters, law enforcement, and the military. Based on the Flobert BB cap, .22 LR is the result of the continuous improvement of the BB cap for a cartridge with accuracy, low recoil, and low noise for a multitude of applications.

The .22 LR rimfire cartridge can be used in many situations, from target shooting and plinking to small rodent control. It's comparatively inexpensive, widely available, and light to carry – making .22 LR ammo a fantastic choice for long shooting sessions at the range, introducing someone new to shooting, or small game hunting.

I've shot this in a Marlin 39A, Enfield BSA Trainer, M4 Colt with 22 subcal unit, SIG 226 with 22 conversion and my Colt ACE. Functioned well in all. No problems feeding or clean up.

  • 2000TC40D said:

A lot of reviewers on different sites say this ammo is junk . I have a gsg 522 always used this ammo it's accurate ,no problem rapid fire auto feeding only issue after around 2000 rounds the gun needs a complete tear down to clean it is on the dirty side AMMO.COM is GREAT TO DEAL WITH

  • Andriod said:

Bought 5250 Rounds form New Mark IV Lite, shot first 1000 Rounds not one issue not really that dirty either.

  • skoot52me said:

I have gone thru 4000 rounds and not one misfire, and the hold a tight grouping.

  • manny said:

After two purchases of this ammo, can only recommend if you enjoy cleaning your guns after every shooting session. Good price, but very dirty, caused failure to feeds in semi auto rifle and pistol, gummed up revolver cylinder enough to where I could barely push rounds in. Seems to be covered in a rubbery, gummy substance. If you can't afford anything else (like I couldn't), better than nothing. You'll spend the savings on solvent cleaning your guns.

Quality product with prompt delivery. Delighted Customer.

  • Skipper said:

The ammo is very good; the faster velocity makes the 40 gr. bullet a more accurate round over the 1235 fps. ammo. It is also a lot louder than your average round fired. All and all, this ammo works very well in my Browning Buck Mark Carbine.

  • Dan Young said:

This ammo was of poor quality and it underperformed. I had on average 3-to-4 rounds per 100 that either didn’t fire at all after 3 recycles or else fired after recycling; it appears to be a quality control issue with the rimfire primers. I use a very reliable handgun. The overall accuracy was also sub-par compared to other brands of “best value” .22 rimfire ammo I have used. I won’t purchase this Winchester M 22 ammo again.

  • Jongle said:

    Great ammo.

  • Sigadvantage said:

Bought two of these trouble in all of my 22 lr firearms even revolvers and bolt actions. About 4 percent are bad either oversized or failure to fire. Good to practice failure drills though. Hoping these will have marked improvement with the CCI buyout of Remington ammunition. YMMV

  • Sabre52 said:

Have shot about 500 rounds of this stuff through Ruger semi auto pistols and a S&W revolver. With the Ruger I experienced many fails to extract, FTF, stovepipes etc. As another guy mentioned, the powder loads seem very inconsistent, some loud, some quiet, one quite explosive, and a few real smoky and squibby. Accuracy OK with the ones that sounded the same, terrible with the weird ones. In the revolver the main complaint was it took three strikes sometimes to make them shoot at all but accuracy was again OK with the ones that sounded the same. Both these guns work fine with CCI minimags so I'm sure it's an ammo issue.

  • Don Juan said:

Bought 2 buckets of 1,400 each and thought it was a Great value if you have the time to wipe clean bur and or separate poor quality manufactured bullets from the Rest. I learned the hard way that lots of ammo had still bur and that the reason why my m&p 15-22 rifle kept jamming. I definitely don’t recommend this for a semiautomatic rifle. After carefully separating the ones with bur my SR 22 and others worked decently with jams here and there.

WHAT'S TO SAY? THEY LOAD WELL, GO BANG WELL AND PUT A HOLE IN WHAT EVER YOU ARE SHOOTING AT. AFTER ALL IT'S REMINGTON!

  • Tazz said:

The powder is not the same from one shot to another!! Some even sound like it is a cap gun and others are fine. I would not rec. or buy anymore Remington ammo!!!!

I've shot over 300 of these, with not a single misfire. They are good quality, accurate, and at a good price. If you are looking for .22 bullets for your firearm, buy these!

  • JWS - Ft Walton Beach FL said:

I've fired over 400 rounds through my new SigArms auto without a misfire. That has to be a record for me.

  • Ahmad said:

I got the 3330 rounds. Unfortunately didn't go well with my Taurus. Failure to feed likely because it's not round tip. The hollow point makes more likely to get stuck. Now I have tops of these that I don't know what to do with

  • ODie Green said:

This has been the only ammo my Sig P322 will consistently shoot. 975 rounds in a day with very few issues.

  • BlackHawkDon said:

After only a few dozen rounds, I find this to be an excellent range and critter control ammo. No problems as yet. Look forward to using this shipment so I can go with another order. Oh, this order arrived as scheduled and in great condition.

  • manny said:

Recently received my second order of 5000 round lot. Shoots well through a revolver, semi-auto rifle, and semi-auto pistol. Outstanding value, very clean ammo, unlike Aguila, which was gummy and super dirty, causing failure to feeds. Very pleased with the ammo. I'd seen reviews in years past that were negative, but couldn't be happier with purchase.

  • BuzzedLightYears said:

I used to shoot this when I was a boy. A few decades later I tried it again, and a few more decades later, it hasn't changed. If you enjoy spending your time cleaning your iron, this won't disappoint, because it's the dirtiest, most filthy ammunition I've ever shot. I have one brick left from decades ago purchase and might use it when I run out of my other brands, but for my iron, I doubt I'll ever purchase any ever again. It gums up ALL my iron every time. It's my last choice desperate use ammunition, because of that. I've never found another brand that's as Dirty as the Remington .22 ammunition.

  • Jack said:

Excellent service and quality product. Highly recommended to all my friends

  • Sparlash said:

All of the rounds in the 555 box had spinning bullets loosely crimped. The results are erratic velocity readings and failures to load and eject. I am very fearful of getting a squib. I shoot a Taurus TX 22. I will save this stuff for my single action Ruger single six revolver where I can shoot slowly and react to a misfire or squib unlike shooting quickly in a semi auto.

  • Crafter said:

Rounds poorly made. Bullets spin and bend inside casing. CCI rounds are rock solid by comparison. These rounds jam frequently, have multiple duds per magazine, and are generally unreliable. Not happy with my purchase and will not ever purchase again.

  • Stephen said:

Shot 100 rounds of this through my Ruger SR22 pistol last week. Every round fired and cycled flawlessly. This is why I buy CCI ammunition.

  • pacman said:
