Purchased 50 rounds, but have only shot 18 so far. I've had no problems at all. Shoots nice and clean, and no duds. I love the federal ammo so far. My only knock was on the value....which I dropped down 1 notch. The price for the 50 round box is awesome, but the shipping and handling hurt the value...still when you can't find the ammo you are looking for locally, the shipping and handling isn't much of an issue. Works perfectly for older revolvers. These didn't blow up 1900s 4th model top break. A little bit dirty but thats to be expected from a LRN

Works very nicely in a new 32 ACP PPK. Started with 100 rounds each of several manufacturers; choose the S&B target ammo based upon that experiment.

wasnt sure how well my little lemon squezzer s&w would do but i didnt have any issues with the ammo. glad i could find such a weird caliber for a good price

Have run over 14,000 rounds(yes...that's fourteen-thousand- plus) through my Sig P229 and I believe maybe two or three were misfires. I am very satisfied with the product.

I put 40 rounds through my 1872 Uberti open top and every round went boom but not all hit the hanging metal plate I was shooting at. Must be something wrong with the ammo…. It couldn’t have been me! Bottom line is that it performed great and I’ll be purchasing more just as soon as I pay off my new glasses.

Speaking specifically of 45 ball ammo. Years ago I once had a AD inside my house. I was amazed at the performance. It went thru 3 walls, changed direction 3x due to hitting wall studs before finally stopping against the inside brick cavity at the exterior of the house. I recovered the bullet and it had only minor deformation. Since then I keep and extra mag of Ball just in case.

Barely had to clean my rifle after shooting an entire box and had my rifle dialed in very quickly as a result of very little shot variation using this ammo.

Speer makes great ammo. Unfortunately, with supply so low, prices are high. But, you better have good ammo on hand. This is good!!!!

Modern Super-X 44-40 hunting loads only get 1,190fps advertised, limiting this cartridge to only 100 yards. Mine chronographed 1,025fps. Original black powder factory loads achieved 1,325fps and were killers out to 300 yards, later reduced to 1,245, then back up to 1,325fps with smokeless loads. By the1960's they were reduced to 1,310fps when rifle powder was replaced by ball powders. By 1978 Winchester started using flake pistol powders, further reducing performance down to the now 1,190fps advertised velocity. Not to mention from 1903 to 1941, Winchester manufactured 1,565fps High Velocity loads used for the Model 92' Winchesters and other like rifles like the Marlin 1894. Winchester further nurtured the 44-40 with the mouse fart "Cowboy" reduced loads of only 900fps from a rifle. Thus I give the modern factory loads a 2 for performance, a 2 for value since folks are paying an arm and a leg for neutered ammunition. Every ammo I have purchased and used that has the Federal name on it has been the creme de la creme in my book. The 147 grain JHP is no exception. Whether it's for my revolvers, pistols or long guns I have complete confidence when Federal is with me.

Shot ammo in a Glock 27 Gen 4 with very little problem. Ammo jammed a couple of times, but I don't think the ammo was the problem. I will buy more Prvi Partizan ( PPU) ammo when possible in .40 cal, 9mm, and 357 sig. Great stuff. Shoots cleaner than most other I have found.

I gave it 3 stars for value because ammo is way too expensive at this time. It's especially true for any Suppressor Ammo (Sub Sonic). The ammo shoots fine, pretty clean, and works well with a suppressor.

Regrettably price for ammunition during the shortage is higher than previous pricing. That said, this is a great range practice round. Recommend.

Gun jammed…. Bullet got stuck in the barrel, still shot 2 rounds than got jammed. Realized the bullet was stuck halfway through. Could’ve exploded in my face! Unfortunately no more Ammo Inc for me. Same thing happened to another gentleman on the range.

I bought one box of this just to try out.. I was shooting it through my LCP, granted I haven't shot much, just one mag, 7 rounds, had one that the primer dented and didnt go off, reloaded it and it fired.. but i still have 40+ rounds to try

I have and prefer the HST and Speer Gold Dots as my edc loads. The HST has the most expansion you can find in the gel tests if you pay attention to those. A bit pricey, but.....worth the extra for performance
