Some time ago I picked up 1000 rounds of MBI ammo, probably through Lucky Gunner. I finally got around to using it, and my M9A3 had a ton of failure to feed issues. I picked up a 9mm Sherridan case guage, and out of the 1000 rnds, about 100 of them are bad. They literally get stuck in the gauge to the point you can't easily get them out... which is why the don't work. Pretty horrible QC and very unimpressive.

  • Whiskey Bravo said:

Great ammo for the price had ZERO issues. Delivery was very quick and efficient

  • Steve said:

Have put it through a couple different guns and had zero problems so far.

  • Gerald said:

I have been thru 100 rounds of this MBI ammunition in my H&K P30 with no jams or misfires. Excellent value!

  • JoeyK said:

Fired about 150 rounds each through Walter PPS and S&W Shield. No FTFs and both guns showed very little residue.

  • Wildman said:

I've fired about 200 rounds using my Glock 17 thus far and had no problems whatsoever. For the price, I have recommended your product to others. Thanks.

  • Tomaz said:

The only reason I don't give a 5 stars on quality is because it leaves a LOT of powder behind to clean up after shooting. Other than that, I enjoyed your products.

  • Bramson Muges said:

Fired about fifty rounds through my XDs. Had two failures to extract with the spent casing stuck halfway in the chamber. Both times same exact stoppage. I think the shell may have been weak and expanded to much. I think they need to find better brass. Although it functioned in my Glock just fine. So it can't be too bad.

  • Charles said:

I went through about 500 today. In the first 100 I had a fired shell jam so the action couldn't even open. This was my S&W M&P 9 which cycles ANYTHING. Had to hammer a screwdriver down the barrel. Everything fired fine again until a little over 300 rounds and had the same type of jam, except it was live! I whacked the gun against a table about 10 times facing down range until it finally fired off, still couldn't open the action, so applied the hammer/screwdriver technique. Pretty great ammo, but I'm assuming a few were loaded a bit too hot and the brass expanded to the point of jamming up in the barrel.

  • Big Jim said:

Purchased this MBI ammo last year and did bot get to shoot it until recently and was quite surprised at the accuracy I was able to achieve with this ammo. Mine came in two small boxes and they fit right in a 50cal ammo can. Great ammo for the money and will purchase again from these fine sellers.

  • Ray said:

Price was great, but I do not like the bags, when you open all the ammo goes all over. I prefer boxes. I shot over 250 rounds no misfires.

  • Zaza said:

We have had no problems with the ammo and will buy again.

  • watermn said:

bought this ammo to run during a 2 day Uzi course. shot as well if not better than some of the factory orginal stuff. 25 rounds in 2 1/2 seconds in a 4 inch group.

  • PistolPete said:

Fine product I will order again. A win-win. Good range time & support NRA. What's not to like?

  • bigbukt said:

haven't had time to shoot yet but with today's prices this was a great deal definitely will shop here again

  • Little D said:

Feeds Great The Only problem is the small plastic bags that they place 100 rounds per bag alot of them had busted open so they might as well just sell

  • Ryanxd9 said:

Great ammo. Best service and turn around. Thank you keep up the best service.

So far it has worked well, as requested, No issues.

  • Capt Lee said:

Federal is not always the best price, but I believe they are the best quality. I have on occasion had issues with other brand name rounds, but not with Federal. Likewise, Ammo.com has always delivered my purchase on time, without issue.

  • Sailor said:

I received my ammo in less than 72-hours. Delivered in tact and correct. Went to the range past weekend and shot 200-rounds between myself and wife and every round performed perfectly. Impressed with the product and the entire process. Highly recommend

  • Jason said:

The folks at ammo.com are amazing to work with. You order one day and the next you have a email stating your order is in the way. You can’t ask for anything less. I will continue to get my ammo from ammo.com!

  • Gus said:

The ammo is well worth the price. Shoots accurately and no failures of any type.

  • Thomas said:

Have put 20 K rounds through my Glock/Sig/MPX with Blazer Brass, I was told that the Federal bullets were cleaner and better quality. After 3 or 4000 rounds ---WRONG. Have to clean my equipment far more frequently and my right hand looks as if I was playing with charcoal blocks. Going back to Blazer Brass. Ammo.com was very quick and reasonable. It was my mistake not to be made again-back to Blazer,

  • billy said:

This product came fast and never had a propblem with the ammo. I plan to buy another 1000 rds soon

  • Ro said:

I’ve ordered 2k rounds so far and not a single issue at all. 10/10 would recommend

  • Bake said:

Accurate even for a shaky old man

  • Ghostdog said:

This is quality 9 mm range ammunition that feeds fine in any Glock. When cleaning the firearm there are some fine metal chips. The Glock 43 and 48 started to develop feed issues after about 500 rounds requiring a good cleaning . The Glock 19 could run 1,000 rounds before cleaning was necessary using this ammunition.

  • Sanjay said:

Did this with some pure target shooting and second with combat drills. The ammo is high quality and there was no jam or other issue because of the ammunition. The price is at about mid point of all the ammo in 1000 rounds available. Will I buy it again. Yes.

  • Sportster said:

Great ammo, UPS could be a lot better and not slam the ammo during loading. When I received it almost 1 box bullets was mashed almost level with the casings.

  • Kyle said:

I just ran the ammo through a USPSA competition with zero issues. I've been shooting this ammo for years and rely on it to function, which it always does.

  • will said:

love this ammo go to range ammo

  • Ronald said:

Good deal and very happy with purchase. Bought a Walther creed and wanted to run some rounds thru it. Have fired 500 rounds no issues. Great service received ammo in a couple days

  • Dinstar1 said:

Excellent value, excellent performance and an excellent outlet for ammunition purchases from Ammo.com. Especially the fact that I have not had to wait more than 11/2 days from purchase to delivery. All the reasons why I have passed my purchasing experiences on with everyone I know.

Only 3 duds out of the 5K rounds. Solid…

  • Joe2443 said:

I've faced numerous jams while using my handguns with this ammunition and at one point I literally had to use a ramrod to remove the casing that got stuck in the barrel. I've never faced such issue with any other rounds I've used.

  • Branden said:

Ammo performed exactly as expected round after round. I usually take 300 rounds with me to the range ever trip and have had no jams or other malfunctions.

    Was very happy with everything

This isn't the first time I've bought magtech steel ammo. I've bought it many times before. Great price, shoots great, great ammo for target practice. I've shot around 10,000 rounds of this ammo and haven't had any problems with it.

  • Carlos said:

Wouldnt buy again kept having issues ejecting the casing with multiple guns tried a different ammo and they would work perfect

  • Bullseye said:

    No failures whatsoever. Good accuracy.

  • BobFLA said:

    Shoots reliably

  • Nechko said:

Magtech. At first i didn't know nothing about it so I did a research and find out, some good words about company and ammo as well. Took their word for it and order some 9mm steel casing (19mm).Send 700 rounds down the range from 3 diferent guns but as always my Beretta 92fs took most of the stress. No isues with cycling or ejection of cartridges. This is my second order of magtech 9mm and I couldn't be more happier with it. Ammo works just fine from every aspect. Will be back for more soon. Nothing but respect for Ammo team. Keep up good work.

  • Nice guy said:

I run it through Glock, S&W, Taurus, and my Hellcat Pro, no issues, with comp and OEM barrels.

  • jimmmmmmm said:

Cheap and realitively clean. I've ran 2000 rounds through my pistol with no problems.

  • Nedzad said:

Took 700 rounds of magtech 9mm and 3 different guns but I mostly used Beretta 92FS.Had zero issues. I was prepared to have some case retracting issues(due to steel case) but none happened. Overall I strongly recommend this ammo. Perform way better then expected.

  • Stephen said:

I have shot roughly 2000 rounds and never an issue

  • Chibob said:

I purchased a Sig 2022 and called Sig for break-in information. They said they liked people to shoot 124 gr. rounds for the first 100 rounds to properly break-in the weapon. I purchased the MBI ammo for that purpose. I"ve since ordered 500 more rounds of 9 mm and 200 res of .40 cal . No FTE's, No FTF's with a new gun. Think that says it all

  • Flametamer said:

Bought 400 rounds, shot 230 so far. No problems. Every round fed and shot just like it should. Going to buy more of this.

  • Matt said:

Ordered 1,000 when supplies were tighter a few months back. First few hundred worked fine (not one problem), but then in the last 100-bag alone, I had 2 FTEs and one misfire that was so bad, I had to drill the bullet out of the bore. Hope it's just a coincidence they all came at the same time. Will fire the last 400 rounds with curiosity before ordering more.

  • freddy said:

I used one gen2 glock 19 one gen4 19 one gen 3glock 17 the only problem was the new only 20 rounds through it will fix it self after a couple hundred rounds.nice for the price when you cant find the time to load your own.

  • KD said:

Received my order quickly. No problems in my P-95, 92FS, CW9. Packaged well for shipping. I'll be back!

  • rip01 said:

Works great, will buy again, target practice load, my 92F

  • Mustangrob said:

Value was great, quality was ok, a lot of rounds seemed to have small dings/dents in the casings as well as the bullet itself. Performance is still a little in doubt, shot numerous rounds thru my Beretta 92FS and did well, thru my new Nano didnt perform as good and had one FTE, maybe because the gun is new, I dont know.

  • dennis said:

Shot about 300the rds thru a new ruger sr9. Had a couple of failed ejections,it maybe because of the new gun.im sure this will correct as the gun gets broken in.satisfied with everything else.just a little distressed that the ammo here has doubled in price.if it corrects I will be buying more.

I have shot 4000 rounds thru Ruger 10/22, Ruger MK IV, Smith & Wesson auto pistol, M&P, 3 different 1911 22 pistols all automatic only had 3 fail to fire and 2 fail to feed total. I had no issues with running complete mags fast or slow fire drills. But like all 22 ammo, was a little dirty after the first 500 rds, but did not seem to affect the performance. For the price very dependable.

  • Gary said:

First 5000 I bought were of,poor quality. !3 out of 50 failure to fire in four different weapons. Sent back to factory, received 5000 replacements. Have fired 3000 +-throught a Marlin 60, Ruger 10/22. Browning Buckmark, Stevens 87H. One failure to fire. Cleanliness was as expected. Dontb think there is any .22 rimfire ammo that is really "clean".

  • Christopher said:

I got these thinking it was going to be great for my new Ruger 10/22 backed on reviews. However I was hugely disappointed. Ever round got hung up feeding one way or another. The only time it would successfully rack a round is when the bolt had enough force to shear off a part of the lead tip leaving large chunks behind. Out of 100 rounds used so far (of the 1000 bought :( I could not go though a full factory 10rd magazine without multiple failure to feeds. Would not recommend.. will not buy again.

  • David said:

Others that I have used tend to get hung up when ejecting. Every time I use these rounds they all eject perfectly.

  • Thomas L said:

First off, I cannot say enough nice things about the service given to me by ammo.com and I intend on buying as much ammo as I need from this seller. As far as the ammo itself goes, I fired all 500 rounds divided between 4 auto-loaders, 3 lever action and 3 bolt action rifles, all scoped and all from 105 measured yards at a range. I am very impressed with how clean this ammo shoots. I am a clean freak where firearms are concerned and it takes some doing to impress me where cleanliness is concerned on .22 ammo. As far as accuracy goes, for measured groups, I fired 4, 5 shot groups with each rifle. The average measurement of the bolt action rifles was 5/16 of an inch. The lever actions averaged 7/16 of an inch and the auto-loaders averaged 3/4 of an inch. I never had a single misfire out of the 500. I fired the ammo in 2 Henry and 1 Marlin lever action rifles. I fired the ammo in a 1937 Mossberg model 46A, a 1946 model Remington 510 Target Master and a 2013 Ruger model 77/22 - all 3 bolt guns. I fired the ammo in 2 Ruger 10/22 auto-loaders, 1 Marlin model 60 auto-loader and 1 Remington Nylon 66. Here is where my only complaint with this ammo lies. The ammo does not produce enough chamber pressure to cycle the bolts on these semi-auto rifles. They either stovepipe or fail to force the bolt back far enough to cycle the next round into the chamber. Again, I am a clean freak with my firearms and I remove the bolts and clean the entire receiver after each range/hunting session. I cannot say what the ammo will do in a semi-auto pistol as it has been nearly 20 years since I owned one and it was not worth my time to drive 50 miles to borrow a Buckmark from a friend.

I tried different ammo brands (CCI / Blazer, Magtech, Winchester, Federal, etc.) and I always come back to S&B when I have a chance. Prices may vary but it’s reliable, offers consistent quality and performance, and, in my experience, one of the cleanest burning 9mm rounds - highly recommend!

  • T said:

The ammo came fast and I liked how small the boxes are, the only problem I have is my Rost Martin RM1C jams every shot or 2 on these. I tested a box of blazer and had no issues, shot 3 boxes of sellier and was jamming far too often. If you have an RM1C, steer clear.

I have a Chinese type 56 (SKS copy). TulAmmo is about all I fire out of it. It's inexpensive, powerful, and all around a good buy. The one drawback to it is the fact that steel cased Russian ammo is dirty after the shots go off. I had to spend about an hour cleaning the powder residue and metal fouling from my rifle. But I wouldn't trade that for nothing. Thanks Russia!! You make such great things.

Grandson used this brand on his third time shooting his new Goat-15 and destroyed the center of the target. And when I say his his third time he has only shot a firearm three times and from day one he was drilling the target good and this brand has been consistent and actually fewer feed issues than CCI, actually only one feed issue vs CCI had more than five.i also feel it is a bit more accurate and kept the group tighter than CCi. At price and good quality this will stay my go to for his ammo.

I recently purchased a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 in order to get the functionality of the AR platform all while using ammo that I can not just afford but really enjoy shooting with. The M&P 15-22 is basically an AR15 just scaled down to a .22LR cartridge, all of the classic AR functionality still exists and works, no "fake" switches or levers here, it operates very much the same as your average AR just with .22LR so you can not only shoot all day but enjoy it too at a fraction of the price you would if you were shooting 5.56 I absolutely love the rifle and Ammo.com is the best place to get high quality bulk ammo at the best available prices. I plan on continuing to use them to stock up so I can spend more time at the range and less time worrying about affording ammo.

  • Matthew said:

If you look at the 3rd picture (sure wish I did before I purchased) you will see how filthy the cases are and how poorly aligned the bullets are. It does better in my Smith & Wesson MP 15-22, but still not great. Maybe in a revolver or bolt action it might not suck so bad for plinking?

All of the rounds in the 555 box had spinning bullets loosely crimped. The results are erratic velocity readings and failures to load and eject. I am very fearful of getting a squib. Flawless with my two boxes. I got a very tight shot group and performed very well (AR-15 PSA 300BLK Pistol 8.5 inch / 1:8) Box says match grade but due to the shortage of ammo just about everywhere, I had nothing to compare it to. Box says "veteran owned" and that makes me happy - 100% in on that that you're one of us. Price might be a tad high but just not that significant - more important to have it. I was having trouble with other brands of 9MMs. The extractor was unable to remove spent cases so the gun would jam. It would jam every 4th or 5th round. I would have to remove the mag, use a small flathead screw driver to pull back the next live round and shake the gun so the spend case would fall out. I tried three different brands before I bought the Fiocchi rounds. I cycled 150 rounds of Fiocchi 9MMs through my gun yesterday WITHOUT a single jam! Could not be more satisfied with the ammo's performance. Thanks.

Sergio, you're spot on. It's an old style jhp with rumored poor expansion in short barrels (4-stars). I've got a CZ75 and SP-01, so I don't expect to see any problems. Federal Premium is always reliable; this is no different. (5-stars) Nothing special, but JHP of good quality. It wasn't the worst deal around — I was just resigned to buying DoubleTap for a lot more. I'd rather pay for this than that, or junk, or nothing at all. (3-stars just based on what 9mm SHOULD cost — and I'm sure not saying anything bad about Ammo.com — they're great.)

  • Sergio said:

Hey, when it's all that's available, you buy it !! Pleasantly surprised-- fired about 175 rounds--no problems whatsoever. Groups were roughly equivalent to high-dollar ammo (from an LC9)--OK not exactly a sniper weapon. Bottom line is that Ammo.com had the product in stock---no one else did. Is it worth 75c a round? Probably not--- is gas worth 4.00 a gallon? Probably not. Bottom line is that I snagged 1000 rounds of perfectly acceptable ammo--at a price based on supply and demand.

I live in a rocky desert terrain and any ball rounds will bounce and make that noise we all know after a ricochet has occurred. These hollow point round explode on impact when hitting a rock or even the hard ground but blow the guts out of any rabbit it hits. When trying to reduce ricochets and kill rabbits, the Federal hollows are my favorite. A quality round where a box of 550 might have less than a handful that fail to fire. Easy to load in a magazine, tube or revolver. Great for plinking and target practice. A must have for novice and experts a like.

  • Chuck-a-Luck said:

This is the ammo I've decided to use in my handgun. Given the velocity, the recoil is smooth, consistent and manageable. I'm on target with Fiocchi.

This ammo would not function two rounds in a row in my firearm. I had problems with rounds loading from the magazine, and I had rounds fail to eject cleanly. I did shoot some one at a time and the accuracy was not up to snuff with other brands. This pistol can be finicky with this type of bullet, but it really didn't like this load.

Five deer taken on my ranch with this ammo: two neck shots, two head shots, and one shoulder shot ( 106 yds) . All dropped in their tracks! The shoulder shot hit a rib but still exited the body with a one inch exit wound that would have facilitated tracking, had it been necessary.

  • Jimmy said:

My friends and family have taken five deer from my ranch this season, all taken with this ammo. All dropped in their tracks! Two were heart/lung shots, two were neck shots, and one head shot. I've never been satisfied with the accuracy of my SKS. I know it's limitations, yet I thought we could do better. We just did. The Silver Bear ammo consistently grouped tighter and closer to my point of aim than the Tula or Wolf ammo. It's not as easy to find as the other Russian ammo, and usually costs a buck or two more per box. Take the time and spend the extra money. IMHO, the only step up is the expensive "match rounds" (i.e. Winchester). That'll get you a marginal increase in accuracy for double the cost. The Bear line, made in the Barnaul plant, is simply the best choice.

At 200 meters can hit a quarter from either a TCenter or Savage rifle. Kills buck deer with just one hit in the chest, same killing power as any 7mm or .30 caliber but with much less recoil. I bought this stuff just to try it, really. I've only fired about 20 of the 50 rounds by now. I will say that I experienced no issues with it (jams, etc.), and it's easy to put on-target from up to 25 yards. It did leave a little extra soot in my Glock 19, and it produces a fairly strong "burnt powder" smell when fired. Not a big issue at all, but it does seem to fire "dirtier" than most ammo I'm used to. I don't have much experience with Frangible ammo, but it seemed to work exactly as advertised.

Excellent deal ( pretty much what I paid pre rona) like I said I ordered Sunday night snd it was at my door on Wednesday shipped in excellent packaging !

I've shot a lot of rounds over the years, and Federal is one of the best with any ammunition. These rounds in particular are clean, accurate, effective, and to top it off, won't break the bank. If you're sceptical about ammo.com, you shouldn't be. Good pricing, fast shipping and most importantly I got exactly what I ordered. Couldn't be happier.

The MAXX Tech 124gr FMJ ammo I use primarily to break in new firearms (Glock, Springfield, S&W, and CANIK. However due to their reliability I have also incorporated into home defense. At this point I have shot over 700 rounds without issues. Would recommend and continue using.

Bought this a couple months back & haven’t got anything else since. Shoots nice, isn’t too dirty & haven’t had a single issue.

Had a box of this laying around for month, pulled it out at the range and used it between some Winchester 9mm target and some bulk ammo brand. Fired flawlessly through my Glock. At 21ft went from ten inch groupings down to 2 in groupings using this stuff then back to ten inch groupings after I used it. Clear as day this stuff is accurate with virtually NO recoil. Would not want this in a tactical situation but if you want to see how accurate you really try this stuff.

I was very impressed with this ammo. I ran it through an HK VP9 A1 F, a custom canik sketch, the Canik TTI Combat. Had two failures with the HK, but it was my fault. I limp wristed my first two shots, I had just bought the gun that day. After about 30 mins I had a feel for the gun. So I toss up a new target. I keyholed 3 shots. Not rapid, but not slow. It wasn’t just the gun. It was the ammo. Had the same results with the caniks. No failures on those. And it’s nice knowing the entire projectile is jacketed. Which essentially eliminated exposure to lead. Love this stuff! Bought the G2 gold dot as my defensive ammo as well. 147 grain. Cheers!

Hopefully it is my pistol and not the overall perforance of the ammo I have a Sig 365 that is normally Highlt accurate It shoots everything very well WElLL not everything It does not like Speer Lawman at all Had not MFs of FTEs but have experienced MANY (1 out 5) flyers and not just a little a little 6-8 inches off group at 15yrds

I placed a order after searching for weeks on end just to get my hands on some quality ammo. Ammo.com processed my order on a Friday and i had my ammo packed great and delivered on Sunday. True story! Ive never had such great service for a hot commodity item like ammunition through a pandemic shortage at that! Ammo.com!! Your the best! And keep on supplying I will most certainly keep on buying! #ProudCustomer #HappyCustomer

Buy 20/50 round boxes instead for 1000 shells and only pay $479.80. This makes no sense.

This ammo was great for the range, mi issues with anything. It fired without any jams or other problems.

  • William said:

Had the shipment in a few days, two days after they actually shipped it. Ammo was well packed and did not suffer in shipping. Ammo itself looks good, steel case, lacquered. Functioned well and had reasonable groups, 3.5 in compared to 1 in for handloads. Rifle was very dirty after firing , dirtier than with handloads by a large margin. Rifle cleaned up well though I wouldn't let it sit before cleaning after using this ammo.

Great ammo for a great price, about 100 rounds in and no issues whatsoever.

  • Bcino said:

Fire’s every round , no mis, jams will be ordering more

I put 400 rounds through my ak-103 works flawlessly its good shooting ammo. I like that the cases are lacquer sealed. Probably won't be able to take it to an indoor range I did the magnet test with the bullet and it sticks so it's definitely a copper wash steel bullet but it goes through half inch mild steel. Definitely the cheapest ammo that I could find and there's no complaints on my behalf it's not corrosive at all.

    Amazing production

  • Zack said:

This stuff shoots straight, fires every single time, and makes tight groups! Some say it's corrosive but I'm telling you I've never seen one speck of rust or anything that would lead me to believe this. A true must try!
