Overview of Bulk 9mm Ammo

Initially driven by military and law enforcement, bulk 9mm is now essential for civilian shooters who value preparedness and savings. After all, who doesn't love having a well-stocked supply of the world’s most trusted cartridge? Winchester White Box 9mm is a familiar place to start, with 500-round cases in 115, 124, and 147 grain FMJ and 1,000-round cases in 115 and 124 grain.

Stocking up in bulk covers your training needs, but it’s worth having a trusted defensive option alongside it. Many shooters turn to Federal HST 9mm defensive load for its proven consistency in personal protection. Shooters who want more pressure behind that bullet look at Underwood 9mm ammo, where nearly every load is stamped +P or +P+.

How will your 9mm ammo be delivered?

Your ammo purchase will be shipped straight to your door in a discrete, unmarked package.

What’s the benefit to buying bulk ammo?

  1. You save more money: Probably the biggest reason to buy bulk 9mm ammo is the cost savings it affords you. Save upwards of 10¢ per round!
  2. You’re ready for the range: If there’s one thing that 2020 taught us, it’s that supply chains are fragile. Bulk purchases ensure you’ll always be locked and loaded.
  3. You reduce the hassle of reordering: With bulk purchases, you reduce the frequency of having to reorder, ensuring you always have enough ammo on hand for any occasion.
  4. You shoot more consistently: Buying in bulk ensures that you have a consistent supply of the same ammo, which can improve accuracy and performance by eliminating variations between different batches.
  5. You'll be prepared for anything: Having a bulk supply means you're always prepared for any unexpected need, whether it’s a spontaneous range day or an emergency situation.
  6. You support some great organizations: With every purchase, Ammo.com makes a donation in your name to a Liberty Fund organization at no expense to you. See who we support here!

What are the most popular 9mm brands which you sell in bulk?

You can filter our entire selection using the left sidebar to see which brands we currently have in-stock and available in bulk using the Manufacturers filter. Stocking a defensive load deep is worth doing too, and Winchester 9mm hollow point ammo comes in 500-round cases in both 115 and 147 grain JHP.

How much does 1000 rounds of 9mm ammo cost?

1000 round cases of 9mm can cost as low as 21¢ per round, which will save you considerably more than if you were to buy 20 round boxes each time you hit the range. According to data from ammopricesnow.com, 9mm ammo reached its highest price in 2021 at 71¢ per round, but its historical average is 29¢ per round.

Price is only part of the equation. Bullet weight also plays a big role in performance. If you're deciding between 115, 124, or 147 grain 9mm, take a look at our guide on the best grain for 9mm to see which option best fits your needs. For shooters who land on 115gr, the Fiocchi 9mm 115gr FMJ is one of the most reliable and cost-effective bulk range rounds available.

How does 9mm compare to other calibers?

Caliber Recoil Pros Cons
.25 ACP Much less Extremely concealable, minimal recoil Far less stopping power, limited ammo and firearm selection
.380 ACP Low Lightweight, low recoil Less stopping power, limited range
.45 ACP High High stopping power, good for defense Heavy recoil, lower capacity
.40 S&W Moderate Balanced power, popular for defense Snappy recoil, can be expensive
.38 Super Moderate-High Higher velocity, flatter trajectory, competition favorite More expensive, less available, higher recoil than 9mm
.357 SIG High High velocity, good penetration High recoil, limited availability
.357 Magnum High Excellent stopping power, versatile High recoil, often in revolvers
5.7mm Low High velocity, armor-piercing Expensive, less common
10mm High Very powerful, good for hunting Heavy recoil, can be hard to control

I haven’t gotten a miss fire or squib load with this ammo .

  • DMK said:

This is a very reliable range round. I have fired it through a full size SIG P226 that is more than 25 years, and a SIG P365 Legion AXG that is a recent purchase, and have had no problems whatsoever. I would definitely buy this range round again.

I have used Fiocchi ammo for a while now and have never had any issues. This last shipment was dropped and packaging damaged. I am having to inspect each round prior to using to be safe.

I have fired 2000 rounds of this ammo with no problems. Good price, great performance.

  • Mrnavas said:

I’ve tried different brands of 9mm ammunition and this may be my favorite by far. I am no expert by I felt a little improvement in accuracy and I like for it performed.

  • Vince said:

I never write reviews, but feel I had to for this. I’ve shot two cases of this over the last month and have been very disappointed with this product. Every third or fifth round seemed to be a fail to fire, making training anything at speed or higher round count strings of fire near impossible and incredibly frustrating. I’m hoping the manufacturer just got a batch of hard primers and this only affected this particular lot, but who knows. Ammo.com has always been awesome. This product, in my experience, has not been awesome.

  • Matthew said:

Getting back into shooting and enjoying running through the boxes. An occasional stovepipe in one of my Glocks, maybe 1 out of 50, and that could just be breaking the guns in.

  • Jeremy said:

My local range sells these for use with their 9mm rentals. Very good. The quality and performance is pretty good and cost is very reasonable.

  • Arnold said:

2 duds out of every 100 to 200 rounds in a sig p365

  • J.Ford said:

This ammo is operates well in my ported, compensated and full length barrels.

  • Vlad said:

I tried different ammo brands (CCI / Blazer, Magtech, Winchester, Federal, etc.) and I always come back to S&B when I have a chance. Prices may vary but it’s reliable, offers consistent quality and performance, and, in my experience, one of the cleanest burning 9mm rounds - highly recommend!

  • T said:

The ammo came fast and I liked how small the boxes are, the only problem I have is my Rost Martin RM1C jams every shot or 2 on these. I tested a box of blazer and had no issues, shot 3 boxes of sellier and was jamming far too often. If you have an RM1C, steer clear.

  • CLL said:

    Great ammo, clean rounds.

I mostly shoot this through my Glocks and Staccatos, never an issue unlike with other brands.

2000 rounds through a Walther PDP without a single glitch. Seems as clean as Blazer Brass and as reliable. Very tight packaging makes for easier storage/transport, and the bullets are nice and shiny to boot.

Out of 2,500 bullets, 3 did not fire. Primers were definitely struck by the firing pin.

  • Andre said:

We had a couple of ejection issues at the range but I am sure that this was more to do with insufficient grip stiffness with my wife's small hands and nothing to do with the ammo. I had no issues.

  • Rick said:

Initial clip 15rds 1st 5 no problem then 7 did not eject completely. Cleaned gun next two clips no problems.

I've been using Sellier and Bellot 9mm ammo for years, and it has never let me down. This 1000-round pricing is a great deal, perfect for regular practice at the range. The rounds are consistent, clean-burning, and I've never experienced a misfire or jam in any of my pistols.

  • Cabby said:

I was introduced to this brand at a gun range by the proprietor. Said this is what his customers like and what he buys in bulk when the price is right. I like it. Never had a misfire across three handguns. At a good price I’m going to keep buying.

  • Switchblade327 said:

This ammo is great stuff. I started with S&B in a Glock 17 and now exclusively in my Walther PDP. Runs clean & always goes ker-bang. I know it is made off-shore but it is good stuff it is no more expensive than others. To me it is the best bang for the buck! (see what I did there)

  • TWR said:

It arrived quick and the 300 rounds I've shot so far have been smooth and uniform. No complaints here, except that the ammo shoots a little dirty, but it's nothing some CLP and elbow grease won't clear up.

  • Ed said:

I’ve been shooting these for years no no problem excellent ammo

Fast shipping and great service! Great price on the ammo and no issues.

  • manny said:

I have only shot 50 rounds so far but not one problem feeding or ejecting. When I cleaned my gun, not much dirt. Recoil was a bit harsh but my Taurus G2 is brand new and needs break in time. I will buy this ammo again.
