Overview of 12 Gauge Rifled Slugs
12 gauge rifled slugs - typically Foster-style slugs with cast rifling on the bullet itself - are the traditional shotgun slug load designed to fly accurately out of a smoothbore barrel. Where sabot slugs require a rifled barrel to spin up, rifled slugs use angled fins or grooves on the projectile to stabilize in flight and deliver usable accuracy from any standard cylinder, modified, or improved-cylinder choke shotgun barrel.
For hunters using a standard hunting or defensive shotgun without a dedicated rifled deer barrel, rifled slugs are the go-to choice. A 1-ounce 12 gauge Foster slug leaves the muzzle at roughly 1,600 feet per second and delivers fight-stopping energy at 50-100 yards - the practical envelope for slug hunting and defensive use. Accuracy in the 4-6 inch range at 50 yards is typical from a properly sighted smoothbore.

Slugs are seated in the shell casing so crooked, that the shape of the case itself is warped into an oval instead of circular. Do not buy.

These were cheap. All the slugs are crooked in the casings, im not sure how this is supposed to be accurate. result was, as expected, very inaccurate. Fine for close range only.

I just returned from my second regularly scheduled appointment going to the range. The first time I took 7 boxes of the panzer 12-gauge, the second time i took 10 boxes to see if the problem occurred in more of the boxes. 1 or 2 rounds out of EVERY BOX would not fire. My frustration grew with every box i attempted to fire during both trips to the range. My Shotgun is my primary weapon for close quarter home defense. I maintain all my weapons in pristine condition with regular maintenance. My family's security is my utmost priority. I must have ammunition that is reliable. The panzer 12-gauge ammo is inferior and a unreliable product. I am asking for a full refund of my previous purchase of this ammunition, so that i may purchase a reliable and more reputable product of ammunition for my shotgun from your company. This product does not live up to its advertised performance.
