Overview of Bulk 9mm Ammo

Initially driven by military and law enforcement, bulk 9mm is now essential for civilian shooters who value preparedness and savings. After all, who doesn't love having a well-stocked supply of the world’s most trusted cartridge? Winchester White Box 9mm is a familiar place to start, with 500-round cases in 115, 124, and 147 grain FMJ and 1,000-round cases in 115 and 124 grain.

Stocking up in bulk covers your training needs, but it’s worth having a trusted defensive option alongside it. Many shooters turn to Federal HST 9mm defensive load for its proven consistency in personal protection. Shooters who want more pressure behind that bullet look at Underwood 9mm ammo, where nearly every load is stamped +P or +P+.

How will your 9mm ammo be delivered?

Your ammo purchase will be shipped straight to your door in a discrete, unmarked package.

What’s the benefit to buying bulk ammo?

  1. You save more money: Probably the biggest reason to buy bulk 9mm ammo is the cost savings it affords you. Save upwards of 10¢ per round!
  2. You’re ready for the range: If there’s one thing that 2020 taught us, it’s that supply chains are fragile. Bulk purchases ensure you’ll always be locked and loaded.
  3. You reduce the hassle of reordering: With bulk purchases, you reduce the frequency of having to reorder, ensuring you always have enough ammo on hand for any occasion.
  4. You shoot more consistently: Buying in bulk ensures that you have a consistent supply of the same ammo, which can improve accuracy and performance by eliminating variations between different batches.
  5. You'll be prepared for anything: Having a bulk supply means you're always prepared for any unexpected need, whether it’s a spontaneous range day or an emergency situation.
  6. You support some great organizations: With every purchase, Ammo.com makes a donation in your name to a Liberty Fund organization at no expense to you. See who we support here!

What are the most popular 9mm brands which you sell in bulk?

You can filter our entire selection using the left sidebar to see which brands we currently have in-stock and available in bulk using the Manufacturers filter. Stocking a defensive load deep is worth doing too, and Winchester 9mm hollow point ammo comes in 500-round cases in both 115 and 147 grain JHP.

How much does 1000 rounds of 9mm ammo cost?

1000 round cases of 9mm can cost as low as 21¢ per round, which will save you considerably more than if you were to buy 20 round boxes each time you hit the range. According to data from ammopricesnow.com, 9mm ammo reached its highest price in 2021 at 71¢ per round, but its historical average is 29¢ per round.

Price is only part of the equation. Bullet weight also plays a big role in performance. If you're deciding between 115, 124, or 147 grain 9mm, take a look at our guide on the best grain for 9mm to see which option best fits your needs. For shooters who land on 115gr, the Fiocchi 9mm 115gr FMJ is one of the most reliable and cost-effective bulk range rounds available.

How does 9mm compare to other calibers?

Caliber Recoil Pros Cons
.25 ACP Much less Extremely concealable, minimal recoil Far less stopping power, limited ammo and firearm selection
.380 ACP Low Lightweight, low recoil Less stopping power, limited range
.45 ACP High High stopping power, good for defense Heavy recoil, lower capacity
.40 S&W Moderate Balanced power, popular for defense Snappy recoil, can be expensive
.38 Super Moderate-High Higher velocity, flatter trajectory, competition favorite More expensive, less available, higher recoil than 9mm
.357 SIG High High velocity, good penetration High recoil, limited availability
.357 Magnum High Excellent stopping power, versatile High recoil, often in revolvers
5.7mm Low High velocity, armor-piercing Expensive, less common
10mm High Very powerful, good for hunting Heavy recoil, can be hard to control

This ammo is operates well in my ported, compensated and full length barrels.

  • Vlad said:

I tried different ammo brands (CCI / Blazer, Magtech, Winchester, Federal, etc.) and I always come back to S&B when I have a chance. Prices may vary but it’s reliable, offers consistent quality and performance, and, in my experience, one of the cleanest burning 9mm rounds - highly recommend!

  • T said:

The ammo came fast and I liked how small the boxes are, the only problem I have is my Rost Martin RM1C jams every shot or 2 on these. I tested a box of blazer and had no issues, shot 3 boxes of sellier and was jamming far too often. If you have an RM1C, steer clear.

    Great ammo, clean rounds.

I mostly shoot this through my Glocks and Staccatos, never an issue unlike with other brands.

First few hundred rounds not a single problem of any kind

2000 rounds through a Walther PDP without a single glitch. Seems as clean as Blazer Brass and as reliable. Very tight packaging makes for easier storage/transport, and the bullets are nice and shiny to boot.

  • Anthony said:

Speer ammo always agrees works flawlessly for me, add to that a great price and fast shipping and I have a perfect transaction, thank you ammo.com!!

  • Willie said:

I recently read about the benefits of TMJ over FMJ so I decided to try it. After firing 150 rounds, the gun has virtually no lead fouling, only carbon deposits. This ammo feeds and runs the same as FMJ in my Glock and SW Shield-EZ. The cost difference is minimal for the advantages of a cleaner gun and less lead put into the air.

  • Justus said:

My handgun has a compensator and it gets some pretty nasty lead fouling from the ammo I’ve been using so I decided to try the TMJ. The difference is unmistakable, still some carbon buildup but almost no lead fouling. I will definitely be making this my standard target ammo.

  • Kev said:

So far I’ve tried a lot of range ammo in the last couple of months. Speer seems to be the most consistent ammo I’ve shot. Never mind the fact that it is one of the cleanest I’ve used. One of the only brands that doesn’t leave the end of my gun dirty after firing 400 rounds, anyway. By end of the gun I mean exterior of the grip module and barrel. I never had a malfunction with this brand either. Mag dump after mag dump led to a great time and not a single issue. If this ammo was any cheaper it would be my go to ammo every range day. The only reason why it doesn’t have 5 stars for the quality rating is due to it coming in with light brown spots on every bullet. However it did cycle and shoot the best out of other range ammo’s that I’ve tried.

  • Ken said:

No misfires and consiistant performance with two different handguns (Beretta Storm9 sub & S&WM&P9). This ammo exceeded my expectations - glad I got 1000 rounds. I'll get more. Delivered in two days.

  • Cabby said:

I was introduced to this brand at a gun range by the proprietor. Said this is what his customers like and what he buys in bulk when the price is right. I like it. Never had a misfire across three handguns. At a good price I’m going to keep buying.

  • Switchblade327 said:

This ammo is great stuff. I started with S&B in a Glock 17 and now exclusively in my Walther PDP. Runs clean & always goes ker-bang. I know it is made off-shore but it is good stuff it is no more expensive than others. To me it is the best bang for the buck! (see what I did there)

  • TWR said:

It arrived quick and the 300 rounds I've shot so far have been smooth and uniform. No complaints here, except that the ammo shoots a little dirty, but it's nothing some CLP and elbow grease won't clear up.

  • Ed said:

I’ve been shooting these for years no no problem excellent ammo

  • Pete said:

I was very impressed with this ammo. I ran it through an HK VP9 A1 F, a custom canik sketch, the Canik TTI Combat. Had two failures with the HK, but it was my fault. I limp wristed my first two shots, I had just bought the gun that day. After about 30 mins I had a feel for the gun. So I toss up a new target. I keyholed 3 shots. Not rapid, but not slow. It wasn’t just the gun. It was the ammo. Had the same results with the caniks. No failures on those. And it’s nice knowing the entire projectile is jacketed. Which essentially eliminated exposure to lead. Love this stuff! Bought the G2 gold dot as my defensive ammo as well. 147 grain. Cheers!

  • DonE said:

Hopefully it is my pistol and not the overall perforance of the ammo I have a Sig 365 that is normally Highlt accurate It shoots everything very well WElLL not everything It does not like Speer Lawman at all Had not MFs of FTEs but have experienced MANY (1 out 5) flyers and not just a little a little 6-8 inches off group at 15yrds
