Some time ago I picked up 1000 rounds of MBI ammo, probably through Lucky Gunner. I finally got around to using it, and my M9A3 had a ton of failure to feed issues. I picked up a 9mm Sherridan case guage, and out of the 1000 rnds, about 100 of them are bad. They literally get stuck in the gauge to the point you can't easily get them out... which is why the don't work. Pretty horrible QC and very unimpressive.

  • Whiskey Bravo said:

Great ammo for the price had ZERO issues. Delivery was very quick and efficient

  • Steve said:

Have put it through a couple different guns and had zero problems so far.

  • Gerald said:

I have been thru 100 rounds of this MBI ammunition in my H&K P30 with no jams or misfires. Excellent value!

  • JoeyK said:

Fired about 150 rounds each through Walter PPS and S&W Shield. No FTFs and both guns showed very little residue.

  • Wildman said:

I've fired about 200 rounds using my Glock 17 thus far and had no problems whatsoever. For the price, I have recommended your product to others. Thanks.

  • Tomaz said:

The only reason I don't give a 5 stars on quality is because it leaves a LOT of powder behind to clean up after shooting. Other than that, I enjoyed your products.

  • Bramson Muges said:

Fired about fifty rounds through my XDs. Had two failures to extract with the spent casing stuck halfway in the chamber. Both times same exact stoppage. I think the shell may have been weak and expanded to much. I think they need to find better brass. Although it functioned in my Glock just fine. So it can't be too bad.

  • Charles said:

I went through about 500 today. In the first 100 I had a fired shell jam so the action couldn't even open. This was my S&W M&P 9 which cycles ANYTHING. Had to hammer a screwdriver down the barrel. Everything fired fine again until a little over 300 rounds and had the same type of jam, except it was live! I whacked the gun against a table about 10 times facing down range until it finally fired off, still couldn't open the action, so applied the hammer/screwdriver technique. Pretty great ammo, but I'm assuming a few were loaded a bit too hot and the brass expanded to the point of jamming up in the barrel.

  • Big Jim said:

Purchased this MBI ammo last year and did bot get to shoot it until recently and was quite surprised at the accuracy I was able to achieve with this ammo. Mine came in two small boxes and they fit right in a 50cal ammo can. Great ammo for the money and will purchase again from these fine sellers.

  • Ray said:

Price was great, but I do not like the bags, when you open all the ammo goes all over. I prefer boxes. I shot over 250 rounds no misfires.

  • Zaza said:

We have had no problems with the ammo and will buy again.

  • watermn said:

bought this ammo to run during a 2 day Uzi course. shot as well if not better than some of the factory orginal stuff. 25 rounds in 2 1/2 seconds in a 4 inch group.

  • PistolPete said:

Fine product I will order again. A win-win. Good range time & support NRA. What's not to like?

  • bigbukt said:

haven't had time to shoot yet but with today's prices this was a great deal definitely will shop here again

  • Little D said:

Feeds Great The Only problem is the small plastic bags that they place 100 rounds per bag alot of them had busted open so they might as well just sell

  • Ryanxd9 said:

Great ammo. Best service and turn around. Thank you keep up the best service.

  • Tim said:

So far it has worked well, as requested, No issues.

    Good Ammo

  • Rick M said:

Performed flawlessly on my Kahr CM40, Glock 23, and Berreta Cx4. The Kahr is finicky but no problems, plus it burns as clean as the higher end name brand ammo. This is my range ammo from now on. I'm not that accurate myself, so I couldn't tell you about the accuracy.

  • Steve said:

Went to the range and shot over 250 rounds from my Walther PPQ40. Not a single jam or misfire. Will definitely buy more!

  • Maple junkie said:

    See above.

  • knox86 said:

I got 500 rounds about 6 months ago and so far haven't had a single jam or malfunction at the range out of my XDm. could be a little cleaner but i've worse out of new non reman ammo so not much to complain about there. I would shoot this over any blazer/tula any day.

  • emt59 said:

You came through with ammo on hand when I was having trouble finding it. The ammo was competitively priced along all others.

  • SteveGun357 said:

Only one had a damged jacket. I didnt even load it in the magazine. The other 999 have fired perfectly. That is a 99.9% excellence record with me. Good deal. Could not believe how quickly you shipped.

  • MP 272 said:

Ordered the 1000 rounds - haven't shot any yet. It is clean and well made - great service! I have confidence enough to use it as personal carry! Thanks AmmoNet Dave - Sarasota

  • gasman said:

A little concerned about reloads, however my concerns soon vanished as the ammo performed flawlessly.

  • Vorbdad said:

Even though this ammo was reloads, we experienced maybe only two jams out of 500 or so rounds shot so far. My brother and I are very happy with our results. Will definitely buy some more.

  • Steve said:

I was impressed with the service from Ammo.com as well as the timeframe of delivery. The 40 cal MBI FMJ 180 gr. ammo looked good, fired flawlessly, and appears to be fairly clean doing it. I've only fired approximately 30 rds. through my Glock 23 gen 4 so far, but am satisfied with no jamming or ejection problems...would definitely consider in the future.

  • kwaddell said:

I needed decent target range rounds for my Glock 22. Even though these are reloads not a single round jammed. All of the rounds fired cleanly. We must have gone through 100 - 200 rounds at the range. Good price. Good rounds. Will definitely purchase again.

Will be ordering again soon as ammo is good for target practice and arrives quick\ly

  • Daniel said:

No jams, fail to fires and great fun

  • Chibob said:

I purchased a Sig 2022 and called Sig for break-in information. They said they liked people to shoot 124 gr. rounds for the first 100 rounds to properly break-in the weapon. I purchased the MBI ammo for that purpose. I"ve since ordered 500 more rounds of 9 mm and 200 res of .40 cal . No FTE's, No FTF's with a new gun. Think that says it all

  • Flametamer said:

Bought 400 rounds, shot 230 so far. No problems. Every round fed and shot just like it should. Going to buy more of this.

  • Matt said:

Ordered 1,000 when supplies were tighter a few months back. First few hundred worked fine (not one problem), but then in the last 100-bag alone, I had 2 FTEs and one misfire that was so bad, I had to drill the bullet out of the bore. Hope it's just a coincidence they all came at the same time. Will fire the last 400 rounds with curiosity before ordering more.

  • freddy said:

I used one gen2 glock 19 one gen4 19 one gen 3glock 17 the only problem was the new only 20 rounds through it will fix it self after a couple hundred rounds.nice for the price when you cant find the time to load your own.

  • KD said:

Received my order quickly. No problems in my P-95, 92FS, CW9. Packaged well for shipping. I'll be back!

  • rip01 said:

Works great, will buy again, target practice load, my 92F

  • Mustangrob said:

Value was great, quality was ok, a lot of rounds seemed to have small dings/dents in the casings as well as the bullet itself. Performance is still a little in doubt, shot numerous rounds thru my Beretta 92FS and did well, thru my new Nano didnt perform as good and had one FTE, maybe because the gun is new, I dont know.

  • dennis said:

Shot about 300the rds thru a new ruger sr9. Had a couple of failed ejections,it maybe because of the new gun.im sure this will correct as the gun gets broken in.satisfied with everything else.just a little distressed that the ammo here has doubled in price.if it corrects I will be buying more.

  • maur800 said:

This ammo is operates well in my ported, compensated and full length barrels.

  • Vlad said:

I tried different ammo brands (CCI / Blazer, Magtech, Winchester, Federal, etc.) and I always come back to S&B when I have a chance. Prices may vary but it’s reliable, offers consistent quality and performance, and, in my experience, one of the cleanest burning 9mm rounds - highly recommend!

  • T said:

The ammo came fast and I liked how small the boxes are, the only problem I have is my Rost Martin RM1C jams every shot or 2 on these. I tested a box of blazer and had no issues, shot 3 boxes of sellier and was jamming far too often. If you have an RM1C, steer clear.

  • CLL said:

    Great ammo, clean rounds.

2000 rounds through a Walther PDP without a single glitch. Seems as clean as Blazer Brass and as reliable. Very tight packaging makes for easier storage/transport, and the bullets are nice and shiny to boot.

Purchased 200 rounds from ammo.com, smooth transaction. I used it on my Beretta PX4 for target shooting at the range, no hiccups, no malfunction. American Eagle is an excellent ammo. I'm a satisfied customer, will buy again. I just wish the price comes down a little bit in the future.

  • Zippo said:

I bought 250 rounds. I have only shot 50, but have had no feeding or ejection problems. It is at least as accurate as my 56 year-old eyes can shoot and was much cleaner than the cheaper ammo on the market. Like I said, I will buy more as it becomes available.

  • no nickname said:

Purchased this ammo, had never used American Eagle before but knew it was made from Federal which I've never had any issues with. Ammo performed great, no FTF's whatsoever through my Springfield XDM, 100 rounds no problem, will buy again for sure.

I have only fired about 35 rounds of this ammo so far, but it has performed just as well as some reloads I have. I fired it through a Browning HP, no misfires and accuracy was good.

  • Scott said:

Bought 500 rounds and have gone through approx. 200 and haven't had any issues. The one thing that bothered me slightly was 1 out of every 20 or so rounds was steel cased. It's not enough for me to knock it down a point in the review but it was advertised as "Brass" and it wasn't all brass.

  • Jas said:

Fired all 100 the first time out with 100% success. I didn't notice any difference from shot to shot like in some reloads. Every ejection was smooth and never had a hangup which is most important.

I have a Chinese type 56 (SKS copy). TulAmmo is about all I fire out of it. It's inexpensive, powerful, and all around a good buy. The one drawback to it is the fact that steel cased Russian ammo is dirty after the shots go off. I had to spend about an hour cleaning the powder residue and metal fouling from my rifle. But I wouldn't trade that for nothing. Thanks Russia!! You make such great things.

The round shown here is 9mm NATO which has a muzzle velocity of 1200fps and muzzle energy of 396 ft lbs. Quite a bit more than stated as they must have confused the stats with the non NATO version.

All I have to say is the ammo is crap. It does not eject from the gun, and they swell up and jam the gun. It cost $75 to unjam the gun.

I had a 3% dud rate. Recoil for a .38 special is very heavy. Many times i had to use a tool to knock the used rounds out of the cylinder. I used this ammo at my outdoor range since the indoor range would not let me use steel case ammo. I dont know why. I am a loyal ammo.com customer and this was the first time i had any issues. I went to the range and used this first thing with a cleaned Ruger sp101. Shot one chamber of 5 and all of the rounds where stuck and I had to smack the ejector rod just to get them a little bit up. It took a bit of effort getting them out and one I wasn't sure was going to come out. I then shot 100 rounds of various brands in both .38 and .357 mag with no problems. I have shot hundreds of rounds through this gun ( multiple brands ) and never have had a problem . They had all been brass cased but I thought I would try these for the price. Not worth it if I have to pry them out.

For the price, very happy with this purchase!!

  • NJ said:

I was having trouble with other brands of 9MMs. The extractor was unable to remove spent cases so the gun would jam. It would jam every 4th or 5th round. I would have to remove the mag, use a small flathead screw driver to pull back the next live round and shake the gun so the spend case would fall out. I tried three different brands before I bought the Fiocchi rounds. I cycled 150 rounds of Fiocchi 9MMs through my gun yesterday WITHOUT a single jam! Could not be more satisfied with the ammo's performance. Thanks.

Sergio, you're spot on. It's an old style jhp with rumored poor expansion in short barrels (4-stars). I've got a CZ75 and SP-01, so I don't expect to see any problems. Federal Premium is always reliable; this is no different. (5-stars) Nothing special, but JHP of good quality. It wasn't the worst deal around — I was just resigned to buying DoubleTap for a lot more. I'd rather pay for this than that, or junk, or nothing at all. (3-stars just based on what 9mm SHOULD cost — and I'm sure not saying anything bad about Ammo.com — they're great.)

  • Sergio said:

Hey, when it's all that's available, you buy it !! Pleasantly surprised-- fired about 175 rounds--no problems whatsoever. Groups were roughly equivalent to high-dollar ammo (from an LC9)--OK not exactly a sniper weapon. Bottom line is that Ammo.com had the product in stock---no one else did. Is it worth 75c a round? Probably not--- is gas worth 4.00 a gallon? Probably not. Bottom line is that I snagged 1000 rounds of perfectly acceptable ammo--at a price based on supply and demand.

  • bodie said:

I bought this ammo on a hunch to feed my 5 nines. It is a little lighter than I wanted, but within parameters. So far it has held up perfectly; no failures to fire, no FTEs, nothing wrong, and good groups. I'm glad I bought it.

  • James said:

Have run over 14,000 rounds(yes...that's fourteen-thousand- plus) through my Sig P229 and I believe maybe two or three were misfires. I am very satisfied with the product.

  • Tom said:

I am a returning customer the ammo is always great and priced below others out there shipment couldn't be easier . This is a great company to do business with

  • Joe said:

What a mess, jams, powder build up.... this ammo did everything it could to foul my weapon. I blew threw cheaper Russian AMMO in my Ruger SR40C no issues, cleaning was average. As I closed in on 80 rounds of this Remington ammo you could tell it was going to be a long afternoon, powder all over the muzzle, then the jams started and cleaning took forever! Would not recommend.

  • Bruce S said:

quality is ok but usually i experience no duds

  • Scott said:

Not impressed with this being a Winchester product. Out of 15 shells,2 were duds . Not a good track record.

Shot 50 rounds of the 1000 I purchased. Weapon was a new Ruger ACR. Every spent round was difficult to remove from the cylinder; I had to remove one spent casing with a screwdriver. I put an an equal number of brass ammo through the gun with no problem expelling the ammo.

Don’t buy this ammo for anything that requires cycling aka semis. It’s crap. I believe it’s under loaded or perhaps the primers are no good. Bought quite a bunch and I can’t use it for anything but practice drills for failures.

  • Jeffrey said:

Shot about 200 rounds using glock 19, glock 43x and sig p320 no problems at all.

  • Adrian said:

Went to range and shot around 100 rounds with my Tauras G3C and jammed about 20–30 times.

  • Walt said:

It was easy to order and had no problems comparing products. The package was heavy but taped and secured well. It arrived in the normal amount of time and performed well at the range. Good value.

  • Gomar cools said:

Good round and a value at the price point. Rounds ramp well in all makes of gun we use.

This ammo is about 1/16" to long to fit in my 30 round mags. but they do fit the factory mags. I would suggest blunting the tips.

Did a 3 way shootout between Magtech, federal, and PMC, all 124gr. Magtech was in the middle of performance.. not the softest but not as poppy/jumpy as federal.

  • H said:

124 grain for target practise performed very good, I practice at 20 to 75 yards with good accuracy.

  • Xavier said:

Getting 124 grain rounds cheaper or at the price of other brand 115 grain rounds, i say might a well grab these! Went thru 1k rounds way too fast.. i guess time flies when you're having fun! Great product for the price

  • The Greek said:

ammo performed well no miss feeds or failures to go boom. would hope in the future that the packing would include a box with a tray just a thought. not the hottest load ive ever shot but all in all a good target load.

  • Carlos said:

Well shooting ammo, no FTE or FTF. Solid plastic bag, some brass casing mixed in with nickel case, but did not affect quality. As soon as back in stock, I will be buying more. Thanks

  • Willo said:

Was looking for a clean shooting lead and heavy metal free rounds. Found Federal Syntech but these can tumble. Then found Blazer Clean Fire and Lawman Clean Fire but these, and Syntech are more pricey (well what I was seeing) So these Winclean “BEB - brass enclosure base” which also have lead free primers are the best choice for indoor training.

  • Kol said:

I would recommend and use this site again to purchase ammo.

  • StumpJumper78 said:

I tried running this through my Stribog and had a failure to feed every 2-3 rounds ,through 3 different mags ! Switched over to Winchester white box 180gr. FMJ and every round loaded and shot great ! It was obvious that the S&B didn't have the power to blow the bolt back but halfway ! S&B 10mm loads might work better in a semi- auto pistol with a much lighter bolt !

  • Vivian said:

Value is great for the price, Quality is better then seen in stores. Performance is better then expected.

Super dirty and so many no fires and duds. Will never buy Anguila again as it is pure garbage.

Worst ammo I have ever shot. 8 duds out of a 100 wouldn’t fire. Also very dirty. Gave away my remaining rounds to a friend. Will never buy again.

  • home defender said:

this ammo shoots so smooth out my 3-inch model 36 Smith and Wesson that it allows my wife to group the shots very tight with a very slight muzzle flip at 40 feet. If I am not home, my wife can pick up the revolver and point and shoot without worrying about safety's, slides, magazines, clip in or out etc. - as she would have a lot of other things to think about in a pressure situation including threat assessment and visual target identification

  • Kenneth said:

Finally found a self defense round that feeds in my Taurus g3c.

  • Loop said:

This ammo is absolutely excellent, it ran flawlessly through my Glock 20 with no malfunctions. All of the rounds looked phenomenal no dinged casings, bad primers, or tarnishing on the casing or led bullet. This ammo is what I personally have loaded for my home defense round. Would I recommend this ammo to others? Yes, in fact I believe in it so much I trust my life to it.

  • Bolo said:

I am familiar with the company which is almost 100 years old. Great quality ammo with signature red line around the primer which seal and look good. This is how I recognized it one time in a indoor range and found out that PPU ammunition is available here in the U.S.A.

I've been using Igman 124gr FMJ 9m for some time now, I estimate I've shot over 5000 rounds of Igman 9m at an indoor range and have never had a single problem with the ammo. Additionally, it's relatively clean burning with less carbon deposits compared to other brands I've used. Recommended without hesitation.

  • Steve K said:

I needed something for the range, so the cheaper the better. However, I have had some issues with cheaper ammo not feeding properly or primer issues. I was glad to find this ammo for a very similar price. I've shot about 2K rounds of this with no issues.

  • Timbo said:

I found the ammo to be reliable, and shoot good groups.

They make a similar ammo in a 240g semi jacketed hollow point. Couldn't make a better round for deep woods hunting. Knocks them on their ass. Friend had a 30.30 and said the damage compared to his gun looked weak.

I shot a bunch of Federal, Sig Sauer, but my AR really liked this stuff out at 100 yards. The Sig performed well too. The Federal was all over the place. I was shooting light grains. Good clean quality accurate ammo. The price is great too.

  • Gunlaw said:

We shot a few hundred rounds through several handguns. The only one that had any trouble was my wife's Si P938 (9mm). A few FTF even though the primer cap was dented it wasn't hard enough to set off the primer.

This review isn’t necessarily about the ammo , all I can say is I like to cycle my ammo at least once a year and I’m getting what I feel to be the best and this ammo is it ! What I am writing today is first I don’t do reviews it’s just not my thing , but I’m making an exception because I’m extremely impressed with ammo.com ! I ordered on a Sunday night , not 10 mins after I ordered I had confirmation numbers and the way they did there emails to me are 2nd to know one ,giving you every bit of info you could possibly want and things were in such a professional manner . Excellent deal ( pretty much what I paid pre rona) like I said I ordered Sunday night snd it was at my door on Wednesday shipped in excellent packaging !

Had a box of this laying around for month, pulled it out at the range and used it between some Winchester 9mm target and some bulk ammo brand. Fired flawlessly through my Glock. At 21ft went from ten inch groupings down to 2 in groupings using this stuff then back to ten inch groupings after I used it. Clear as day this stuff is accurate with virtually NO recoil. Would not want this in a tactical situation but if you want to see how accurate you really try this stuff.

  • Pete said:

I was very impressed with this ammo. I ran it through an HK VP9 A1 F, a custom canik sketch, the Canik TTI Combat. Had two failures with the HK, but it was my fault. I limp wristed my first two shots, I had just bought the gun that day. After about 30 mins I had a feel for the gun. So I toss up a new target. I keyholed 3 shots. Not rapid, but not slow. It wasn’t just the gun. It was the ammo. Had the same results with the caniks. No failures on those. And it’s nice knowing the entire projectile is jacketed. Which essentially eliminated exposure to lead. Love this stuff! Bought the G2 gold dot as my defensive ammo as well. 147 grain. Cheers!

No jams, zero feed issues. Shoots clean . 4 star for performance was only due to it being 40 target ammo and the grouping wandered about 1/2 inch up or down. Over all was still in the mass zone at 21 and at 30 feet .

Had the shipment in a few days, two days after they actually shipped it. Ammo was well packed and did not suffer in shipping. Ammo itself looks good, steel case, lacquered. Functioned well and had reasonable groups, 3.5 in compared to 1 in for handloads. Rifle was very dirty after firing , dirtier than with handloads by a large margin. Rifle cleaned up well though I wouldn't let it sit before cleaning after using this ammo.

Definitely the cheapest ammo that I could find and there's no complaints on my behalf it's not corrosive at all.
