22 WMR Ammo For Sale
Overview of 22 WMR Ammo
Developed by Winchester in 1959, the .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire (WMR) was a potent cartridge that was soon produced by Smith & Wesson and Ruger. Winchester produced their Model 61 rifle for the .22 WMR beginning in 1960, while Savage introduced its famous Model 24 – a combination rifle for .22 WMR and .410 in an over-under configuration.
At its most basic level, the 22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire is an enlarged version of the popular .22 Winchester Rimfire (WRF). Contrary to popular belief, the WMR cannot be used safely in weapons chambered for the 22 WRF – or any other caliber. The WMR was the most powerful rimfire round in the world for many years, outperforming the .22 Winchester Centerfire. However, that distinction today belongs to the .17 Winchester Super Magnum. Another attractive aspect of the 22 WMR round for shooters is that it’s widely available and reasonably priced.
Federal Premium Ammunition recently introduced Federal Punch 22 WMR, a rimfire round engineered specifically for personal protection. Designed for compact backup firearms, Federal Punch delivers reliable expansion and penetration through barriers like heavy clothing—a critical consideration for defensive scenarios. For an in-depth look at Federal Punch's real-world performance and accuracy testing, read our Federal Punch 22 WMR review.

My daughter's loved the way the revolver had a little more kick to it when shooting the 22 MAGS. The 22LRs were just a little too easy for them and soon they will be handling the 9mm and then the 357! :)

Feet per second=2050. I dont know of any 30gr varmint ammo that's faster, and if youre tracking a moving varmint at 100yds +, this would be a big help. At nearly 300# ft lbs, I would take some pot shots at pigs too, and expect some results.

Purchased 500 rounds of this ammo, not having good luck with jamming problem. Don’t know yet if it’s the gun or ammo. Shooting in a new 22 mag S&W ?

I am impressed with this Armscor ammunition. It performs well. I have been having some issues with the rounds feeding from the magazine into the chamber of my new Smith & Wesson .22 Mag. However, I feel that may be because of the magazines S&W provided, not the ammo.

I don't shoot a lot of CCI WMR ammunition due to low availability, but I do try to shoot it enough and it's never failed me. it's always been extremely accurate in my Ruger 10/77 there's only one other manufacturer I choose to use and both are outstanding products. I'd hate to be on the receiving end !!
