Overview of CCI Ammo
Founded in 1951 by Richard “Dick” Speer in Lewiston, Idaho, CCI (Cascade Cartridge, Inc.) emerged as a pioneer in ammunition manufacturing. Inspired by his brother Vernon Speer’s success with Speer Bullets, Richard applied his mechanical expertise to produce high-quality cases and primers, starting in a small space within his brother’s plant. Initially focused on serving reloaders and competitive shooters, CCI quickly became known for its innovative approach to ammunition production.

In the early years, CCI faced material shortages stemming from World War II but excelled by producing non-corrosive, non-mercuric primers. The addition of Dr. Victor Jasaitis, a Lithuanian chemist and explosives expert, marked a turning point. This is CCI 22lr ammo so I would not expect the best and indeed CCI did not let me down. What did let me down was ammo.com's shipping department. Each of the 100 round was packed in standard CCI plastic slide top boxes and of the 5 boxes ALL 5 were cracked and or broken. The shipping box they came in looked okay shape, a couple of brused coners so the damage to the 22lr ammo had to have come from something internal, like the 3 boxes of Speer Lawman 38 Special Ammo - 50 Rounds of 125 Grain TMJ Ammunition and the 2 boxes of Hornady 357 Magnum Ammo - 25 Rounds of 135 Grain FTX Ammunition. I am pretty sure the 35 special and 357 magnum ammo was sloshing around inside the shipping container and hitting against each other as the 22lr ammo. The packing inside the shipping container was pretty minimal for that much weight and there should have been a lot more packing so nothing could move around. All the internal boxes need to be held ridgid. Don" feel bad, I have ordered ammo from other online companies with very simular results.

Love this ammunition! I fired over 1500 rounds through my S&W M&P AR 15-22 with only two rounds not ejecting completely. Your price is somewhat high as this ammo can be found elsewhere for around 50.00. It is your great service and timely shipping that keeps me coming back.

CCI Standard Velocity: This ammunition handles it all. If your firearm experiences issues feeding or grouping with this load, the issue is almost certainly the gun itself, not the ammunition. It is highly recommended to buy it by the case. Ammo.com was fast and effiecient.

I only want or will purchase this CCI product for my needs. Have tried other brands and they fail, might as well throw rocks. Live in a semi populated area and need to use 22 shorts to thin the squirrel population in my yard. This product gets the job done.

The ammo is very good; the faster velocity makes the 40 gr. bullet a more accurate round over the 1235 fps. ammo. It is also a lot louder than your average round fired. All and all, this ammo works very well in my Browning Buck Mark Carbine.

I was excited to try this ammo. I have been shooting primarily 22lr lately. I was very surprised and disappointed with this ammo. Every magazine (10 shots) produced miss-fires, eject failures, I would says for every 10 shots I had an average of 2-4 problems. I would expect this from a budget round but not from a CCI product. I struggled to get through my first of 3 containers. I have 2 left and I won’t be using them again in my pistols, I’ll try them in a rifle but I’m done trying the ammo in a pistol. I grew up in the 70 hurting with a Mossberg Model 351KA hurting squirrels with stinger's. I had very good luck. When I got in my early 20's I brought a Browning Buck Mark to take with me when I was deer hurting, because squirrels would to always come under your deer stand so at the end of the day I would use it for them. After a while I would hunt squirrels with the buck mark and stinger's, and at 61 I still use stinger's but I have upgraded to a Ruger Mark IV I got it because it is easier to clean. I also still have the Mossberg.

Right out of the gate, it's packaged much better than most others. It's clean and not waxy or sticky which I have had with other ammo. None of the rounds are deformed or questionable telling me the QC is better tool. You won't be disappointed with this ammo.

This ammo is great and actually cycles well out of my SR .22 Winchester Wildcat. It doesn't cycle out of the Ruger 10/22 but that's OK because I got it for the Wildcat for shooting pests in my backyard. I have the Sparrow Surpresor on it and it's more quite than a Benjamin pellet gun. Very accurate at 40 yards and it puts birds to sleep instantly. Great product!

This form sucks. I bought a box of CCI BLAZER for $9.25 I bought a box of CCI PISTOL for $14.00 . This form list them both as CCI 22 LR Ammo, I don't know which one I am reviewing here. . The cheap Blazer worked great in all guns I tried including a 60 year old Montgomery Wards auto which jams on most brands. . I did not see any benefit to paying the extra $5 for the Pistol Match. Both could consistently hit a quarter at 25 yards.
