Overview of CCI Ammo
Founded in 1951 by Richard “Dick” Speer in Lewiston, Idaho, CCI (Cascade Cartridge, Inc.) emerged as a pioneer in ammunition manufacturing. Inspired by his brother Vernon Speer’s success with Speer Bullets, Richard applied his mechanical expertise to produce high-quality cases and primers, starting in a small space within his brother’s plant. In the early years, CCI faced material shortages stemming from World War II but excelled by producing non-corrosive, non-mercuric primers. The addition of Dr. Victor Jasaitis, a Lithuanian chemist and explosives expert, marked a turning point. The farm-turned-factory in Lewiston became a hub for innovation, featuring modern laboratories and specialized manufacturing facilities. This form sucks. I bought a box of CCI BLAZER for $9.25 I bought a box of CCI PISTOL for $14.00 . This form list them both as CCI 22 LR Ammo, I don't know which one I am reviewing here. . The cheap Blazer worked great in all guns I tried including a 60 year old Montgomery Wards auto which jams on most brands. . I did not see any benefit to paying the extra $5 for the Pistol Match. Both could consistently hit a quarter at 25 yards.

This is CCI 22lr ammo so I would not expect the best and indeed CCI did not let me down. What did let me down was ammo.com's shipping department. Each of the 100 round was packed in standard CCI plastic slide top boxes and of the 5 boxes ALL 5 were cracked and or broken. The shipping box they came in looked okay shape, a couple of brused coners so the damage to the 22lr ammo had to have come from something internal, like the 3 boxes of Speer Lawman 38 Special Ammo - 50 Rounds of 125 Grain TMJ Ammunition and the 2 boxes of Hornady 357 Magnum Ammo - 25 Rounds of 135 Grain FTX Ammunition. I am pretty sure the 35 special and 357 magnum ammo was sloshing around inside the shipping container and hitting against each other as the 22lr ammo. The packing inside the shipping container was pretty minimal for that much weight and there should have been a lot more packing so nothing could move around. All the internal boxes need to be held ridgid. Don" feel bad, I have ordered ammo from other online companies with very simular results.

Love this ammunition! I fired over 1500 rounds through my S&W M&P AR 15-22 with only two rounds not ejecting completely. Your price is somewhat high as this ammo can be found elsewhere for around 50.00. It is your great service and timely shipping that keeps me coming back.

I don't shoot a lot of CCI WMR ammunition due to low availability, but I do try to shoot it enough and it's never failed me. it's always been extremely accurate in my Ruger 10/77 there's only one other manufacturer I choose to use and both are outstanding products. I'd hate to be on the receiving end !!
