The MAXX Tech 124gr FMJ ammo I use primarily to break in new firearms (Glock, Springfield, S&W, and CANIK. However due to their reliability I have also incorporated into home defense. At this point I have shot over 700 rounds without issues. Would recommend and continue using.

Pretty comparable price to other brands but with the Hornady vmax I have never had a misfire plus it feeds very well in my 93r17 savage bolt action. very consistent groups at 200 yards ( without wind ) Love this stuff and wont shoot anything else ! getting hard to find now, I guess others are finding the same results ! ;-)

I'm really happy to report that I experienced NO FAILURES with this ammo in either of my two weapons. This ammo is now my goto choice for range ammunition.

Ruger Security 9- I've recently just got into shooting within the past two years. So I'm still learning but...THESE are the greatest rounds I've ever used. I usually use 115 grain so I'm a little baffled that the 124 which have more power have LESS recoil. I was hitting every target whether it was the silhouettes, cans, bottles, I'm talking aim and pull in consecutive motion. I haven't had this from other brands (not downing they're great as well). Does ammo really make that much of a difference?

I've been slinging S&B 00 buck around 20 years now and it's always been good. I get decent patterns and very reliable performance out of it. It's not flight control, so if you have a special purpose that involves longer ranges you might go somewhere else but this stuff is def good out to 50 yards.
