Overview of Winchester White Box 9mm

Winchester White Box is the range ammo most American shooters started on. The USA line comes out of Winchester's Oxford, Mississippi plant in the plain white box that gave it its name. It's built to one spec: reliable, clean-feeding brass-cased FMJ at a price that justifies a full afternoon at the range.

Every load on this page is full metal jacket on boxer-primed, reloadable brass. 115 grain is the most common weight and the closest match to typical carry-load recoil at the lowest cost. 124 grain, including the 9mm NATO loading, mirrors standard duty weight. 147 grain flat-nose and TC-MC options give suppressor shooters and 147 grain carriers a practice round that matches their defensive load. Case counts run from 50 round boxes up to 1,000 round cases.

Why shooters stock White Box 9mm

  • Reliable function: it cycles in essentially every 9mm pistol and carbine.
  • Reloadable brass: boxer-primed cases worth picking up.
  • Matches your carry weight: 115, 124, and 147 grain options let you train with the recoil you'll actually carry.
  • Case pricing: 500 and 1,000 round counts bring the per-round cost down.

The round shown here is 9mm NATO which has a muzzle velocity of 1200fps and muzzle energy of 396 ft lbs. Quite a bit more than stated as they must have confused the stats with the non NATO version.

I’m a beginner, did some research. Ammo.com is easy to deal with. The prices seem to be very competitive. So far I’m happy with my purchase and will use Ammo.com again.

I needed something for the range, so the cheaper the better. However, I have had some issues with cheaper ammo not feeding properly or primer issues. I was glad to find this ammo for a very similar price. I've shot about 2K rounds of this with no issues.

This ammo shoots well and it’s reasonably priced. It upholds the Winchester reputation!

My Spouse and I both use Winchester 124 Grain FMJ at the range. Of all the brands we've used for Target practice, we found it to be very reliable and accurate. Recently I used this particular round type during the break-in period for a new 9mm handgun. The handgun performed flawlessly right out of the box without a single failure. We both agree that this is our favorite go to 9mm Ammo, for use both on the range and for insuring frustration free break-in periods for new handguns.

Definitely was worth the buy, the quality could be better but overall it did its intended purpose and no shipping was great

I just finished shooting 500 rounds of Winchester 9mm 124 grain NATO FMJ AMMO. I split the ammo between two different 9mm weapons that are in their break in period. I'm really happy to report that I experienced NO FAILURES with this ammo in either of my two weapons. This ammo is now my goto choice for range ammunition.

Good target ball ammo that is ballistically equivalent to many of the common self defense loads in the 124 grain class. There is a consistency between shots. Boxes have styrofoam holds to hold the bullets. I have no complaints running this ammo through an older Glock 19.

Ruger Security 9- I've recently just got into shooting within the past two years. So I'm still learning but...THESE are the greatest rounds I've ever used. I usually use 115 grain so I'm a little baffled that the 124 which have more power have LESS recoil. I was hitting every target whether it was the silhouettes, cans, bottles, I'm talking aim and pull in consecutive motion. I haven't had this from other brands (not downing they're great as well). Does ammo really make that much of a difference?
