Ammo.com Research: Data-Driven Insights Into America’s Gun Owners and Their Rights

Is Ammo.com Biased?

Sure, we’re biased - we’re an American, pro-2A company that sells ammo. That doesn’t mean our data studies are, and that’s an important distinction. Here is why we believe you can trust what we publish.

First, we aim to shed light on data that is prone to distortion and present it in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Too often, policymakers craft ineffective and unconstitutional policies out of ignorance, rooted in pre-existing narratives.

Second, we wear our conflict of interest on our sleeves. It is not hidden. We are a for-profit, American company that pays taxes and must compete in both the free market and the marketplace of ideas to stay in business.

Third, our data sources are verifiable; you can check all of them out yourself and make your own conclusions. We encourage you to do so! We explain our methodology so that you can replicate our findings, however, there's no substitution for doing your own research.

Fourth, we acknowledge that no source is perfectly objective—including us. That said, we aim to be transparent in our methodology and data sourcing. Some prominent non-profits, such as Brady and Everytown, advocate for increased gun control and often present information aligned with their mission. These groups are well-funded through tax-deductible donations and benefit from widespread media exposure. While they are entitled to their perspective, we believe it’s equally important to offer a counterpoint—rooted in verifiable data and a commitment to constitutional freedoms.

In short, we believe you can trust our data studies because we document our sources and present them in an unambiguous way that encourages you to check our work; We are transparent about who we are and why we do what we do. As always, "trust but verify" whenever it comes to any claim made by anyone, especially online. We think you will find that our claims stand up to scrutiny and thus our work can be trusted.
