History of PMC 223 Ammo

Why Buy PMC 223?

Established in 1973, the Precision Made Cartridges (PMC) plant in South Korea was tasked with providing the country with all of their ammo needs. Now PMC provides high quality ammo at an incredibly affordable price point to American shooters.

Developed in 1962 for the US military, the 223 Remington has become one of the most popular centerfire rifle cartridges in the world thanks to the wide-spread success of the AR-15 rifle. As 223 Rem is safe to fire in a 5.56 chamber, this gives AR-15 shooters the ability to shoot incredibly accurate and cost-effective ammo from their beloved rifles.

If you’re looking to feed your AR-15 the best ammo at the lowest possible price point, then PMC 223 bulk ammo should be what you reach for.

Perhaps the most popular ammo for the AR-15 is PMC Bronze 223. This round has it all: accuracy, affordability, muzzle velocity, and power. Loaded with a 55 grain full metal jacket boat tail or soft point bullet, you simply cannot go wrong with this no-nonsense PMC Bronze 223 ammo. A staple of prepper stockpiles and weekend plinkers, PMC Bronze 223 ammo burns clean and goes bang every time you pull the trigger. And if you don’t believe me, just look at all the positive PMC Bronze 223 review available on the net!

Not only is PMC Bronze 223 ammo available per box, but they are also available in hermetically sealed battle packs and ammo cans, which are perfect for your apocalypse ammo supply.

However, if you want long range accuracy, then you need to get your hands on some PMC 223 X-TAC Match ammo. Loaded with a 77 grain open tip match bullet, these round are the epitome of high speed/low drag. Built to bore out the X-ring of your targets, these PMC 223 X-TAC Match cartridges had sub-MOA accuracy in our AR-15s.

I'll keep re-buying PMC 223 until I have a reason not to. They're priced nice and always work in my different rifles.

This round was very consistent, very clean. I don't think you can do better for price in a brass cased round. Shooting in a Daniel Defense m4v11 they were flawless. Definitely ordering more.

I've shot PMC ammo for years on the range, for .223, .45acp & 9mm, never had a misfire or failure to feed on any of my guns. Korean ammo is the only foreign ammo I'll buy!

  • J A said:

I have not shot any of this ammo as of yet because it is down the line in my rotation. But I was comfortable purchasing PMC ammo as I've never had any bad ammo from the company. The price was right at the time so it was a good buy for me. I look forward to purchasing ammo from your site again, thank you...

I have a remington Model 700sps varmint 223. with a bull barrel, n added a bipod, and a Barska 4-14 x 40 scope. i picked up a fiew boxes of the pmc bronze boat tail ammo in 55 grain simply because they wer only 7.25 for a box of 20. i was realy surprised on how consistant they wer. i placed 18 outa 20 rounds in a 3 inch circle at 150 yds. with a slight breeze. over all im realy pleased with this product, and will continue to use, an recommend this ammo.

Very tough exterior bag similar to some issue ammo during deployments. I see no issues that concern me. It saved me from doing my own storage prep.
