357 Sig Ammo For Sale
Overview of 357 Sig Ammo
Introduced in 1994 by SIG SAUER and Federal Premium Ammunitions, the .357 SIG cartridge features a rimless, bottlenecked case designed to mimic the velocity and stopping power of the .357 Magnum while being fired from a semi-automatic pistol. Initially, the bullet size was .357 inch but was quickly reduced to .355 inch for ease of use. As the first bottleneck commercial handgun cartridge since the early 1960s, the .357 SIG typically has a 125 grain bullet, matching the average weight of a .357 Magnum bullet, and achieves an average velocity of 1,350 feet per second with a muzzle energy of over 500 foot-pound force. Contrary to some sources, the .357 SIG casing, slightly longer and thicker than the .40 S&W, is more akin to a necked-down 10mm case.

357 SIG Ballistics: Chart of Average 357 SIG Ballistics
In its standard form, the .357 SIG features a bullet with a .355-inch diameter that fits into a .381-inch bottleneck. The cartridge base diameter measures .424 inch, while the case itself is .864 inch in length. With the bullet sitting in the bottleneck casing, the full length of the .357 SIG comes in at 1.140 inches.
When it comes to ballistics, the .357 SIG shows some significant numbers and, with a 125 gr bullet, can easily compete with the .357 Magnum. Although it’s a smaller casing, it’s still a powerhouse and great option for a self-defense round.
Note: This information comes from the manufacturer and is for informational purposes only. The actual ballistics obtained with your firearm can vary considerably from the advertised ballistics. Also, ballistics can vary from lot to lot with the same brand and type load.

The round has incredible velocity and stopping power, and it is very snappy in anything but a Glock 31 gen 4. Accuracy is very good. Great round if price is not a concern.

Not the cheapest ammo out there but does the job 100% of the time for me. I figure if the times comes for lethal force I only want ammo I can count on.
