About Us

“The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” - Thomas Jefferson

Our Mission is to Arm You

We believe arming our fellow Americans – both physically and philosophically – helps them fulfill our Founding Fathers' intent with the Second Amendment: To serve as a check on state power.

We believe the rights codified in our Bill of Rights were not given to us in a document, but by our Creator. That an unalienable right is God-given. It isn’t granted by a president, a king, or any government – otherwise it can be taken away.

The fact is that our Second Amendment rights exist to preserve all of the others.

We believe that the words of the courageous men who signed our Declaration of Independence should be taken seriously: “That all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. That among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Our Founding Fathers were the original radicals, with a revolutionary vision of a New World where people could live free of tyranny. Their armed revolt against the Crown gave us American Exceptionalism, transforming 13 colonies into a nation unlike any other – the land of the free and the home of the brave.

But we’re concerned that a lot of Americans are losing sight of what made our great country such a unique place. That personal freedom is being sacrificed for security and convenience. And that many in today’s generation have forgotten why the American Revolutionary War was fought, why the Constitution and Bill of Rights were signed, and why so many to this day refuse to be disarmed.

We believe in free speech, privacy and personal sovereignty. And that – like with gun control – unchecked expansion of state power in any of these areas deserves resistance. But while most people believe the problem is right vs. left, we believe it’s liberty vs. authoritarian.

Every round of ammo sold on our site goes to support these beliefs, which is why we voluntarily donate 1% of Ammo.com purchases to a pro-freedom organization of your choice. The organizations we support are defenders of American Exceptionalism – whether it’s in our courts, through our legislative bodies, on the front lines of our military, or in the ballot box.

Our country is embroiled in a War of Ideas, and it's up to American patriots like us to educate and then inspire others. Our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts serve that purpose on the digital battlefield. And our weekly newsletter keeps subscribers informed and up to date on the latest ammo deals.

Above all, we believe selling quality ammunition is only part of what we do. Our customers choose us for our prices, but they come back for the easy and secure shopping experience, fast shipping, and our efforts to preserve what makes this country unique.

Because, like freedom, you can never have too much ammo.

Our Brand Story

Ammo.com Logo Story

Our brand is about more than simply selling you quality ammo at a great price. It's about arming fellow patriots in the War of Ideas as to what America stands for, and the people who helped shape it.

As U.S. Senator Tom Coburn said: “The Second Amendment wasn't written so you can go hunting, it was to create a force to balance a tyrannical force here.”

It’s in support of that struggle against state power that we look back at the history of our country, its Founding Fathers, and the physical and philosophical battles fought to protect our freedoms to this day – all of which are visually represented in our logo.

Our Logo Reflects a Love of Historic Flags

Nothing better defines our love of liberty like the flags flown over the past few centuries.

Dating back to the late 1700s, the Gadsden flag is perhaps the most iconic. With its coiled rattlesnake and “Don’t Tread On Me” warning (which can also be found on the Culpeper Minutemen flag), it’s no wonder it has become the symbol of the Tea Party and Libertarian movements. The Gadsden flag remains one of our favorites, and the coiled snake in our logo is in direct reference to this iconic flag.

Created for the Battle of Gonzales in 1831, the Gonzales flag is another favorite among avid supporters of the Second Amendment, with “Come and Take It” quite possibly living on as the most well-known phrase connected to our 2A rights – almost 200 years later! You can see this flag in our header, across our entire website. And the star in our logo also pays homage to this historic flag.

While red and white stripes are iconic to American history, it’s the Sons of Liberty flag that inspired the backdrop of our logo. Dating back to “the Loyal Nine” in 1765, this secret group of patriots tracked British troops, were sent on secret missions, and even organized the Boston Tea Party. The flag came to be known as the “Rebellious Stripes,” and was eventually outlawed by the Crown.

The Second Amendment: America’s Original Homeland Security

At the end of the day, it’s not about our logo or brand. It’s about paying homage to the rebellious spirit of the brave men and women who’ve fought for the American ideals of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” We aspire to be a testament to them and to that spirit, and to hopefully serve as a reminder that we should never stop fighting to preserve our Second Amendment rights.

We The People are America’s original Homeland Security.
