Overview of 9mm Ammo

Whether you call it the 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, 9mm NATO, 9 millimeter, or just plain 9mm, 9x19mm ammunition is the most popular cartridge for handguns in the world – with more than 60% of the world's law enforcement agencies currently using this ammo. The role of 9mm Luger bullets in World War I and its continued popularity today testifies to its capabilities as an efficient and effective cartridge.

Yet the 9mm’s journey from a bullet designed by Georg Luger for submachine guns to, perhaps, one of the most controversial self-defense cartridges in the world, has been one of exponential growth and development. This continues into today’s modern world, over 100 years since its conception.

What are the most popular 9mm brands you sell?

Before you settle on a box size, it helps to know where prices sit right now. Our 9mm price-per-round history tracks the cheapest range ammo on the market every month since 2009.

You can filter our entire selection using the left sidebar to see which brands we currently have in-stock and available using the Manufacturers filter. You can also filter by attributes such as Bullet Type, Bullet Weight, Casing Type and Primer Type to find what you need.

  • Glenn said:

Out of 2,500 bullets, 3 did not fire. Primers were definitely struck by the firing pin.

  • Andre said:

We had a couple of ejection issues at the range but I am sure that this was more to do with insufficient grip stiffness with my wife's small hands and nothing to do with the ammo. I had no issues.

  • Rick said:

Initial clip 15rds 1st 5 no problem then 7 did not eject completely. Cleaned gun next two clips no problems.

I've used this brand of Ammo for over 10 years. I never had a Failure to Feed or Eject. Wolf 9 mm Ammo feels snappy enough. However, the only downside that there is a STEEL CORE in the batch of 9 mm Ammo that I have. As such I can't use it at the indoor range I belong to.

  • Don said:

I have really enjoyed the shopping and shooting experience, this has been perfect for me.

  • Stilly said:

Not the highest quality, but for the price the purchase can't be beat!

  • The Knock said:

Don’t buy this ammo for anything that requires cycling aka semis. It’s crap. I believe it’s under loaded or perhaps the primers are no good. Bought quite a bunch and I can’t use it for anything but practice drills for failures.

  • Jeffrey said:

Shot about 200 rounds using glock 19, glock 43x and sig p320 no problems at all.

Went to range and shot around 100 rounds with my Tauras G3C and jammed about 20–30 times.

The MAXX Tech 124gr FMJ ammo I use primarily to break in new firearms (Glock, Springfield, S&W, and CANIK. However due to their reliability I have also incorporated into home defense. At this point I have shot over 700 rounds without issues. Would recommend and continue using.

I like the MAXXTECH 115 gr. FMJ.ammo over the Federal 115 gr. FMJ., the Remington 115 gr FMJ, The Blazer 115 gr. FMJ.It's more reliable than these other rounds. And in some cases it more accurate. And a little cheaper. I shoot around a Thousand rounds a week ,so l can't afford the buy the good stuff.

I fired these through a HK VP9 and no issues whatsoever. Ballistics had no major changes. Continues to have a 2inch group at 25-30yrds

I fired close to 300 rounds through 3 different quality Sig 9mm semi automatic pistols without a single misfire. You cannot beat the performance for the price; it is a great value and I will continue to buy it.

  • Harries said:

Never had any failures or trouble on any of four platforms

  • Dan said:

I have used all different brands of ammo and this Maxxtech brand was by far the worst. I shot it with a few different guns and I had issues with each gun. Everything about the ammo screamed that it's cheap from the smoke and smell to the misfired ammo. Very disappointed and felt like i wasted my money
