Overview of 40 Cal (S&W) Ammo

The .40 S&W cartridge was developed to provide more stopping power than the 9mm Parabellum and better handling than the .45 ACP. A team from Smith & Wesson and Winchester achieved these goals, creating a rimless, 10x22mm round with a .40-inch (10mm) bullet weighing between 105 and 200 grains (gr). This cartridge offers enough stopping power for home defense and concealed carry while being manageable for shooters of various sizes.

    Excellent value in a monolithic projectile hollow-point format. Without detailed ballistic testing, I would say SB being a reputable manufacturer I have a long positive history with in my handguns, I expect these in .40 to perform quite well.
