7.62x51 Ammo For Sale
Overview of 7.62x51 Ammo
7.62x51mm NATO is the military designation for the cartridge civilians know as .308 Winchester - the round that replaced .30-06 Springfield in U.S. service rifles and powered the M14, M60, M240, and dozens of modern battle rifles and DMRs. The two designations share bullet diameter, case dimensions, and most factory load profiles, with 7.62 NATO running at a slightly lower SAAMI-equivalent pressure spec optimized for autoloading rifles and machine guns.
For civilian shooters, 7.62x51 is the headstamp that signals military-spec ball ammunition: typically M80 147gr FMJ for general use or M118 175gr open-tip match for long-range and DMR work. The cartridge remains the dominant chambering for 7.62 NATO-pattern rifles like the SCAR-17, AR-10, FAL clones, and surplus G3-pattern rifles.
Why shooters choose 7.62x51 NATO
- Military spec: built to NATO pressure and dimensional standards.
- Battle-rifle ready: the standard chambering for AR-10 and FAL-pattern platforms.
- Long-range capability: M118-class match loads deliver consistent accuracy past 800 yards.
- Cross-compatible: functionally interoperable with most .308 Winchester chamberings (check your barrel marking).

Tight groups no jams no misfire. The reason for the value rating is I think all ammo in bulk could be a little less expensive, but the price I payed was very competitive with everyone else. Not the first purchase of this ammo and probably not the last
